POMInnO Sp. z o.o. is a non-profit research organization, which derived in 2013 from the Pomeranian Centre for Environmental Research and Technology (POMCERT) (www.pomcert.pl), which was created as an inter-university unit in 2003 to stimulate research, consulting and innovation programs within environmental protection and renewable energy in Pomeranian Region. The POMInnO team, in its previous capacity as POMCERT, participated in several international projects in the field of nutrient management (1) BALTIC MANURE (EUBSR Flagship Project), 2010-2013, where innovative practicies of manure handling were described and promoted throughout the region; (2) Wetlands, Algae and Biogas (WAB), 2010-2012, South Baltic Programme, where anaerobically digested algae, freshwater biomass and manure were used as P fertilizers in a glasshouse study, (3) NORWET, 2008-2011, EEA Grants, Norway Grants where small-scale wastewater treatment plants in rural areas were implemented as constructed wetlands. Apart from research the staff also has a wide experience in environmental trainings, project development and management in the agro-environmental field, stimulation of innovations by enhancing dialogues between academic and business partners and organization of match-making events.
